Cloud Printing is now widely used by people who are required to work on multiple computers at home or at work. Now another cloud service that would be helpful for such type of users is the Cloud based scanning of documents. CloudScan allows you to remotely scan documents and photos and save them as PDF or TIFF file. To use it you must first have to download and install CloudScan on a computer where your scanner is located and then from the remote computer go to the developer's website to initiate a remote scan. It will automatically search your network for the computer where CloudScan is installed and redirect you to the scanning page. The IP of the cloud scanner on your network should be automatically detected, in case it is not you can manually enter the IP Address on Settings.

Another similar tool is Mosaic Windows 8 Edition. It is an application that brings the Windows 8 Metro UI to your desktop. It gives you set of live widgets that shows some content from the web or from your PC. When you install it, by default, it adds clock widget to your desktop. You can add as many widgets as you want from Start Menu present at right side of the screen. Just move mouse over to the right-side to reveal the Start Menu.
