Password Protect Your PDF With iSafePDF

PDF documents is more suitable over other document types when it comes to sharing them online simply because it is a read-only copy of the document and free pdf readers are plenty. To secure PDF files, you can password protect them online with PDFProtect. Another similar tool which is desktop based is the iSafePDF. It is a free open source PDF protection software that allows you to encrypt PDF document by adding password protection, disabling pdf specific features like printing, making modifications or copying. On its main interface, just select the source file and the target file under Document tab.



To add password protection, go to Encryption tab, check Enable Encryption and then type the password.

Afterwards, click on the Process button to apply the changes to the selected document. It also possible to signed the documents so only intended users will be able to open the file. Signed it from the Signature tab. iSafePDF works on Windows operating system and available as portable version. I tested it under Windows 7 x86.
