I use Windows DVD Maker when converting video files to DVD format. It is pretty solid and serves me well but ofcourse it always good to have an alternative. Free Videos To DVD by Koyote is a good alternative that I suggest. It is a free DVD authoring software that can easily convert various types of video and burn them into DVD. You can have your DVD ready in 4 simple steps. After you download and install the program, just follow the 4 step wizard. The first is providing the DVD Label, format (NTSC or PAL), Video bitrate and working directory as shown below.
Second step is to add the video files you want to burn by clicking Add Chapters button.
Third step is the DVD menu configuration. You can set the Title settings such as font, position and color. You can also change individual chapter's titles and settings.
Last step, choose the output format, you can either convert it to DVD, ISO image, or IFO, VOB files. Click Start to begin the conversion process.
Free Videos To DVD works on Windows operating system. I tested it under Windows 7 x86.
