Display On-Screen Volume Control Indicator In Windows Desktop

Display On-Screen Volume Control Indicator In Windows DesktopFor me, the default volume slider of Windows is way too simple and small. If you want an eye candy version of the volume indicator then you have to try 3RVX. It is a skinnable volume display and controller that shows the sound volume level on-screen and also allows you to control the volume via a skinnable slider or custom hotkeys. By default, you can choose from 8 different skins. You can change the default hot keys by pressing right-click on its icon in the system tray and select Settings from the popup menu. The default shortcut are Window Key + MouseWheelDown for decrease volume and Window Key + MouseWheelUp for increase volume.

3RVX Volume Control Settings

You can also change other settings such as General Settings, Display and Skin. If you want a skin other than the default 8 skins, you can download it from here. 3RVX works on Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

Free Windows Registry Scanner

Free Windows Registry ScannerRegistry is the most overused database of Windows. Almost every application that you install and configure stores some registry entries. On other hand, each time you remove an installed app, Windows delete associated registry items. Bad installation and program errors can cause invalid and outdated registry entries that can affect the stability and performance of the Windows operating system. Little Registry Cleaner is one tool that can scan the Registry in Windows and look for invalid and outdated entries with the option to remove them. The app displays a list of sections that it can scan in a left sidebar. Among those sections are program locations, software settings, shared dlls, help files, history lists, application information, startup entries or system drivers.

Little Registry Cleaner

To start the scan, select the sections you want to be included and hit the "Scan registry" button. The Registry Cleaner will then scan the selected sections in the Windows Registry and display obsolete entries in its interface and in a log file that is automatically opened in the default text editor. You can fix the problems that have been found during the scan by clicking the fix problems button. The app automatically suggests to create a System Restore Point during the first run which is recommended for backup purposes in case there is a problem.

Little Registry Cleaner works on any version of Windows as long as Microsoft .net Framework 3.5 is installed.

With the availability of softwares like Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks, modification of digital photos before publishing them became a standard. With the right skill plus a software, photos nowadays can be enhanced in no time. Unless you have PhD in forensic image analysis, it is hard to detect any alteration on a photo. However, there is a website that can perform an image error level analysis on your photo that can give you a hint if modification is present. According Neal Krawetz (Ph.D):
