Every morning on weekdays, I always login to my Google Analytics account to view the traffic statistics of my websites. I have been searching for a way to display these statistics right on my desktop like that one we see on stock exchange monitors. I was glad I found about Polaris. It is a cross-platform desktop widget for Google Analytics that let you display your analytics data in 8 standard report formats instantly. Once installed, you need to complete the one time setup. First you have to create an account with Polaris and then provide your Google Analytics account to access. Immediately after the setup, Polaris will display the eye-candy data dashboard which you also see when you login to Google Analytics.
You can choose between 8 standard reports (dashboard, visits overview, map overlay, traffic sources and etc.). You can also change the date range and website profile from the toolbar. Since Polaris runs on Adobe AIR, it can run on any platform that runs AIR. I tested it under Windows 7 x86 operating system.
