You can prevent the torrent download from disrupting your surfing by lowering its network priority with NetBalancer. It is an internet traffic control and monitoring tool that allows you to set download/upload transfer rate priority for any applications and monitor their internet traffic. Windows programs with a higher network priority will receive more traffic bandwidth over those with a lower one. You can even ignore or block, and limit traffic for any windows process.
