How to Configure AutoPlay Settings in Windows 7

How to Configure AutoPlay Settings in Windows 7In Windows, whenever you enter DVD/CD or USB drive you usually receive an Autoplay prompt. Before Windows 7, there is no single panel where you can change the Autoplay feature for each media. Fast forward to Windows 7, you can easily choose what happens when you insert each type of media or device. The action for each device and media can be configured individually. You have several options like "ask me every time", play media on specific program, or to "take no action".

To access AutoPlay in Windows 7, follow these steps.
1. From the Start Button choose the Control Panel option.
2. Select "Hardware and Sound" icon and then hit AutoPlay.

Or just simply type "Autoplay" on the "Search program files" from the Start Menu.
