How to Remove EXIF data from Images in Windows 7

There are several EXIF remover software available out there but most are not free. In my past blog post, I had mentioned a free Online EXIF remover but you still have to upload the images on their server before you can remove the EXIF data. For some, online service is still risky to their privacy. In short, most of us still prefer to edit their personal photos on the local computer because they have more control over it. If you already upgraded to Windows 7 then you are lucky because the latest Windows version lets you remove or edit personal information from an image or a file.

To remove or edit personal information from a file or multiple files, follow these steps.
1. Select All pictures you want to remove the EXIF data from.
2. Right-Click and select Properties from the context menu.
3. From the Properties window, click the Details tab.
4. At the bottom of the Details tab, click the "Remove Properties and Personal Information" link.

5. Now on the Remove Properties dialog box, you can either create a copy with all possible properties remove or remove just specific data.

6. Click Ok to start the removal/editing process of EXIF data.

I'm getting an error when trying to remove the GPS data from an iPhone photo in this manner. I can't even modify the GPS data by clicking like I can with other details. Any ideas?

I am also getting the same error, any reason why it won't strip the GPS data? Someone thought it was because the GPS data must be a valid coordinate, but it won't let you edit the GPS info. I am currently saving all JPGs taken with my phone as PNGs for now before uploading, that strips the GPS data out.

Obviously you shouldn't buy shitty Apple products.

Problem solved.
