The jumplists was introduced by Microsoft in Windows 7 and are part of the Windows 7 taskbar and popups when the user right-clicks an item in the taskbar. Aside from program functions, Jumplists also display the most recent items that have been opened. The recent items that are displayed can be a security and privacy risk. Although Microsoft did not provide a shortcut or easier way to delete all items at once, you still can with these simple steps.
1. Open your Windows Explorer (Press "WinKey + E") 2. On the address bar, copy and paste the following URL. %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations 3. The Windows Explorer should show you the recent jumplists items. Although there is no way to identify which file correspond to a specific jumplist, you can try by opening each file using a Text Editor. 4. To clear all recent items, just delete all items on the directory.
