Most modern motherboard on personal computer and server today already supports Wake-on-LAN interface. Wake-on-LAN is an Ethernet computer networking standard that allows a computer to be turned on or woken up by a network message. A message or packet is usually sent by a simple program executed on another computer on the local area network. Jimmy's Magic Packet is one of those application that was built for this purpose. It allows network administrators to quickly wake up any computer via the MAC Address.
Mac Addresses are unique identification for every computer. To use the program, just enter the Mac Address of a computer, name it and save it for later use. To wake up a computer, select the computer from the saved list and then click "Wake Up" button.
