Recover Outlook PST Password

In principle, remembering your password should be as easy as A-B-C but with the evolution of security features on softwares, remembering all your passwords can be a challenge. One password I often forget is my PST passwords because I use different password for each PST file I create. But every time I forgot about it, I never panic because its recoverable using a freeware called PstPassword. It is a portable application for windows that don't need to be installed on your system. To start using it, just run the executable file.

Recover Microsoft Outlook PST Password

PstPassword displays the list of all PST files of the current logged on user (Under Documents and Settings\User Name\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook). For each password-protected PST file, PstPassword automatically provide 3 alternative passwords that can be use to open the PST file. If the PST is not protected by a password, the 3 password columns remain empty. If your PST is not listed in the default logged user, you can press F7 and select the desired PST file, or simply drag the PST file from Explorer window into the main window of PstPassword.
