Easily Split Large XML Files

Most companies today uses XML format to exchange data between their trading partners. Unlike during the old days when everybody still uses non-standard flat files, XML (Extensible Markup Language) is supported by set of standard rules for encoding documents electronically which are defined in the XML 1.0 Specification produced by the W3C and several other related specifications. Since it contains data, XML size can grow and to other computer system, this maybe slow to read. To solve large XML file problem, user have an option to split it. Using "Split That XML" or OOXP Splitter free portable app, user can split large XML files while keeping child-parent relationship, cardinality and XML validation intact.

Opensource app to Easily Split Large XML Files

Other than being free and portable (no need to install), Split That XML is also opensource, so developers can use its code to enhance and integrate with their current computer system. Although I haven't downloaded it sourcecode, based on its app icon, I assume its written in .NET platform.

To use it, just load the XML data file, XML schema file, select the maximum size and the minimum size and generate the partitions. This portable app can run on all versions of Windows including Windows 7.

The software "Split That XML" does not seem to be open source. There is no source code available on the Sourceforge project page and asking the question "Where is the source code?" on the forum does not yield an anwser:
