Another Microsoft reinforcement to search engine war. Earlier today, Microsoft publicly unveiled its soon-to-launch search engine called Bing formerly Kumo. It is expected to be available by Wednesday, June 3. On the homepage, Bing has a distinct gloss with typical Live Search background image and links to web properties. Different categories for searching was moved to explore section on the left-hand side.According to Bing's behind the scene website:
Bing is a new search engine designed to do more than merely help you find information. Bing organizes search results and provides refinement tools that help you overcome information overload, get things done and quickly bring you to the point of using that information to make an informed decision.
Was the engine redesigned? according to Bing's team
We took a new approach to go beyond search to build what we call a decision engine. With a powerful set of intuitive tools on top of a world class search service, Bing will help you make smarter, faster decisions. We included features that deliver the best results, presented in a more organized way to simplify key tasks and help you make important decisions faster.
